Design retainer

Design that keeps up with you. One flat rate.

Send as many requests as you want. We work one at a time, hand back the source files, and you can pause the month you do not need us. No project quotes, no change orders, no hiring.

Why a retainer

Hiring is slow. Project quotes are slower.

A full-time designer is a salary, a search, and a bet. A freelancer is available until they aren't. An agency wants a scope document before anyone touches a file. A retainer skips all three: the work starts the day you send it, and the price is the same whether you send two requests or twenty.

How it works

Send it, review it, send the next one.

The whole loop is four steps. Most of your time in it is spent reviewing, which is the part only you can do.

  1. Send a request

Drop it in the portal with whatever context you have. A brief helps. A rough sketch and a deadline is enough to start.

  2. We design it

One request at a time on Standard, two on Pro. You see the first pass in two to three business days, usually sooner on small work.

  3. Revise until it lands

Revisions are unlimited on whatever is active. Tell us what is off and we keep going. No round counting, no change orders.

  4. Approve and pull the next one

You get the files, including the source. The next request in your queue moves up and starts the same day.

What's covered

If it can be designed, you can request it.

Not a menu of packages. Any of these counts as a request, and you can mix them however your month goes.

  • Brand identity and logo design
  • Social media graphics and templates
  • Presentation and pitch deck design
  • Marketing collateral
  • Digital ad creative
  • Email template design
  • Landing page and web page design
  • Packaging and label design
  • Signage and environmental graphics
  • Infographics and data visualization
  • Print design
  • Icon sets and illustration

Not on the list: motion graphics, video, 3D, and front-end development. Those are outside the retainer. Ask us and we will tell you plainly whether we can help another way.

How it stacks up

Against a hire, a freelancer, and an agency.

Every one of these is the right answer for someone. Here is the honest version of what you trade for what.

Cost columns are described rather than priced, because we can't source a salary or agency figure that would be true for your market. Ours is the only number we can stand behind, and it is on the pricing page.

Two plans. Both published.

Standard is $3,500 a month, Pro is $6,000. The difference is how many requests we work on at once and how fast they come back.

Questions

Straight answers, including the awkward ones.

Is it really unlimited?

The queue is unlimited. The work in progress is not. You can submit as many requests as you like and we work one at a time on Standard, two at a time on Pro. Nothing expires and nothing rolls over, because nothing needs to.

What counts as one request?

One deliverable with one goal. A logo is a request. A pitch deck is a request. A landing page is a request. Three social templates in the same campaign is one request. Three unrelated one-off graphics is three.

How fast do I get work back?

Two to three business days on Standard and one to two on Pro, as an average across request types. A social graphic comes back faster than a brand identity. If something is genuinely urgent, say so and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.

Who actually does the work?

A senior designer, and the same one month after month. We do not route your work through a marketplace or hand it to a junior after the sales call.

What if I do not like it?

Tell us what is off and we revise. Revisions on the active request are unlimited. If a direction is wrong from the start, say so at the first pass rather than at the fifth. That is what the first pass is for.

Can I pause?

Yes, any month, from the portal. Pausing stops billing at the end of the current cycle and holds your queue exactly where it is. Come back when you have work again.

What do I get when a request is done?

The finished files in the formats you need, plus the editable source. Figma files, layered source files, and export-ready assets. They are yours.

What is not included?

Motion graphics, video, and 3D. Illustration at book or campaign scale. Front-end development and site builds, which is our marketing line, not the design retainer. Copywriting past headlines and labels. Stock photography and font licenses are billed at cost with your approval.

Is there a contract?

A plain-language service agreement, month to month. No minimum term, no auto-renewing annual commitment, no cancellation fee.
